I've used Surefire for over 10 years, incredible flashlight. It was one of the first, if not the very first, halogen high power , compact flashlights on the market. But nowadays, there are many to choose from. Do a search for halogen bulb flashlights and you'll find many. Just choose the right price for you. But Surefire is what I use and I'm on the same bulb.

I have a stream light that I got from the boat. forget the model but its bright and I mounted it on my AR. Pelican lights aren't bad and a really waterproof to like 150 feet or something like that

I just got an Energizer LED from Academy for about 20 bones. I like it so far. I can even use it to navigate the boat.

I always use a head light to put out decoys. As far as a compact flashlight I have a few. I like streamlight, but not the rechargeable ones. I have both the 2 AA and the 2 AAA. The AA is hard to beat. On the lower end of the price range the Redlines are pretty good and the mini mag LED's for about 30$. But in the world of mini flash lights, prices get out of control fast. I haven't bought any that you would find in the glass case because sooner or later I will lose it or wash it.

I have a pelican led light that takes 2AA i picked up for $40 and can navigate the boat with it. I recently got a lensar head light that is rechargable and it puts all the flashlights ive owned to shame, not to mention both of your hands are free to put decoys are do any kind of work.

We use these at the plant. It has a spot light and a flood light on the side so when you clip the light to your waders it shines wide and immediatly in front of you. They are instrisically safe but at $30 very affordable. I buy them for our I&E technicians because they can clip them to the top of there nomex when working in Instrument and Electrical panels, they like them better than the LED headlamps that I got them. Check them out, batteries last forever in them. I have a personal one that I've kept in my truck and use for hunting for over 2 years on the original batteries.

I have a flashlight made by LA LED that I got as a Christmas present from the fire dept. a few years back. It is rechargeable and takes an odd size battery that cost nearly $10 a piece, but it is bright as Hell and the original battery lasted about 3 years. It comes with a normal wall plug charger and a car charger (just a USB so it worked with my existing car charger). I use it for several weeks and then I'll put it charging either overnight or in the truck on the way to the lease.

Yea my browning uses the lithium cr123 batteries & goes thru them pretty quick on the high setting.... But I don't have to use the high setting very often... Been finding sure fire batteries at lowe's for five dollars a pair which isn't bad... Little light packs a bunch tho for sure!
