Default Solid Week on Big Lake

Had a good week despite lots of wind and weather. There is lots of bait in the lake. Water on the East Bank is decent from Connie to the South end of the Lake but its extremely high. I found the fish to be scattered never really catching more that 5 or 6 at a time. Having to drift and troll frequently to stay on them. They are staggered in the water column and aren't really in any one particular depth. Caught fish on topwater and 20ft. When they are biting, swim baits at a slow steady retrieve have worked best. Once the bite dies down I switch to something to provoke a reaction like a Lil John, Downsouth, or Mirrodine. Tsunamis, and 3" Cajun Swamp Swimmers are doing the most damage in Limetruse and Opening Night. Pretty sure this fronts going to wreck the bite pretty good but I have been wrong before.
