i don't have one, but one time we were having a lot of trouble anchoring on a shell reef with a lot of current and all of a sudden a guy comes through with his powerpole.. presses the little button and boom he was stuck right away. Pissed me off!!

There really is not any downsides of a power pole besides the price. We have installed a few of them and everyone loves them. They do take some getting use to though...you have to position your boat a certain way depending on the wind and tide or it will turn the boat around. Im about to put one on my boat soon, its just too nice to not have to fight a anchor in the tide and wind.

You'll love it!!!! I've had one for 2 years now & haven't broken it yet (knock on wood) & it's been in a BIND several times.
I had my head up my butt on the ship channel one day & didn't pick it up when a BIG ship came by & the water sucked out & came back in liked to have tied that p/pole in a knot! Still their! That's on a '24 skeeter & it's HEAVY! |

There is only one bad thing about powerpoles, if you have a big fish on and he decides to go inbetween the boat and pole your gonna either lose the fish or break a rod if you dont get it up. You really cant pass a rod under it like a anchor rope or trolling motor if its down a good ways. Ive learned from experience after a few rod tips.

I got one. I like it so much I want a second one. I saw that on a pro bass boat on TV once. Pull up, put both down, no spin, catch, filet, repeat. Sweeet.

i'm convinced ! now the problem is do i want the 8 ft or 6ft.i think the 8 ft would look funny on a small boat but extra 2 feet would be nice. the 6 ft would look a lil better on my small boat but would be telling my self y didn't i get the 8 ft..............:con fused::headknocke r:

A definite must have on any boat. Only regret I have is not having the remote. I would go with the 8 footer. But let me tell you dont expect to be able to use it in 8' of water. Maybe more like 6.5'

8 ft. remote controlled. on dash button.
Now getting a price for my second power pole and option to remove a useless swim ladder. |

How would an 8 ft'er look on a 19 ft. boat.
Where I fish in the spring and summer, it is 6 ft. to 7 ft. |

I know. I just like to dream big. It prolly won't fit under the garage with the power pole.
I already have to take down the grab rail and windershield to get it in there. |
