The right lane is for paying the toll. the left lane is for pre paid BUT!!! You will not be able to stop and prepay for a single trip. If you dont have a geaux pass you have to pay at the toll lane.

Yea but it gets backed up bad cuz there is only one turning lane and u can't go around even if u have a geaux pass. They had a state trooper watching this morning.

La 1 is only one lane headed into the toll area - needs to be 2 right hand turn lanes (one for Geaux Pass only) for a mile or so before the toll area.

My brother waited 35 minutes yesterday as the toll payers had it backed up a long way.
Geaux Pass or not, it is a PITA right now.

On top of that there were 2 - 3 'toll attendants' dealing with a finicky toll machine.

Will not be good until an extra turn lane is built.

"Preexisting GeauxPass account holders may continue paying tolls using their online accounts or stopping by the Golden Meadow Customer Service Center; however, single trip online purchases will no longer be an option."
This was taken from the press release given out for the opening.
