Default Big Lake 6/9/11

I made another trip this morning with my wife and kids. We had to cover alot of ground and I mean alot of ground, burned 30 gallons of fuel. We eventually found some fish, ended the day with 30 specks and 10 redfish and a flounder. We also caught a ton of white trout and drum but let them go to fight another day. All fish were caught on live shrimp under a yellow Cajun Thunder cork.

I have meeting in the morning and kid sporting events on Saturday so I will be off the water for a few days.

Verado = Terrible MPG, I knew it would be bad but not this bad. I never ran it wide open either. I am usually getting between 2.3 to 2.8 mpg.

I hate it when real life gets in the way of a good time fishing. This is how we pay for the good times though. Work is the best option for paying to play that I've found.

We'll try to leave a few fish for your wife and kids.
