What a incredible day in Dularge today with good friends and my oldest son. Per recent inquiries about fishing reports from customers....I'm not going to bore anyone with how many boats were running, how many fish we caught or any other complete irrelevant info the readers could care less about..... I will tell you it was a very special day. I hardly ever get to take my son fishing, but today I finally was able to bring him. We found shrimp jumping out the water with trout busting them all around us. My son got to reel in fish after fish and catch several doubles, which he had never done before. I think I was more excited than he was, as it was his best trout trip ever!!! Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad under a cork worked early, then once the bite heated up the double rigs took over. Green Hornet and Tiger Bait Matrix Shad double rigged tightlined slowly did the trick. Sister Lake/Lake Mechant area's are holding plenty fish. Look for birds, reefs, points with moving water, or bayous draining out....the trout are everywhere.
