Headknocker Updating GPS Maps

I have a quick question ya'll may be able to help out with. I have a Hummingbird 788CI GPS combo and I would like to update the mapping program to show water depths as well as show more detail naming lakes and canals. I have been looking at one by Navonics but not sure if it is what I need or not. What upgrade are you using and how well do they work. Screenshots would be appreciated.

Well I know if you will be mainly fishing inshore...a topo map will be more useful...Navionics would be good for bluewater.

Most of my fishing will be done around the Rigolets, Hopedale and the Biloxi Marsh.
I have some roll up maps of the areas but I would really like to upgrade the maps on the GPS. Navonics is one of the better ones I have seen so far.

I would go in to a sporting goods store and have them load the chip into the unit that you have and view it in store before you buy it....any sporting goods store that carries the chips and/or units would be happy to do this, I have done this at Bass Pro and at Cabella's....no problem....this way you are sure it will do what you want it to do.....

I'm going to Gulfport tomorrow and plan on visiting Acadamy Sports. Our local Gander Mountain don't have anything in stock

I've not found anything that gives anything close to decent depth soundings in Hopedale or the Biloxi marsh. I haven't tried the new stuff from Navionics but a couple of my pros have and the reviews have been mixed. I wish something good would have come along a while ago. Would have saved me a few lower units and a TON of grief from the wife because I was 12 hours late waiting for the tide to come up and get unstuck.

Thx Guys
The trip to Acadamy was a washout. They were completely out of the Navonics cards. They also did not have any way to demo a card for buyers. I may run to a few dealers in hattiesburg and see if they may be able to demo one for me.
Marshworks...I feel your pain. getting stuck in the Marshes is a royal pain in the butt. It could be hours before another boat comes by that could assist.
