Depending on the size. We have had 2 bald eagles nest on S Perkins before. Most likely it is an osprey nest. They make similar nest.

I have seen a nest just like that on one of the high line cuts off of the river but not west fork it was back on the main river I wondered if it was an eagle too.

Yes. That's osprey nest, however, 2 duck seasons ago, we passed a bald eagle on a fallen tree, just as South Perkins sarts. Giant Bird.

The eagles have been driving me crazy at the house. I spent 1,000$ stocking the pond last spring and they keep pulling fish out of the pond. last week I saw one eating something in the field went over there and it was the neighbor’s cat.

Osprey likely, they use telephone poles a lot. Eagles usually use huge cypress trees, but uncle has eagles nesting in a big pine tree on Lake D'arbonne

this wasn't a eagle, but i was at a freinds house one evening and the lady next door started screaming bloody murder. We ran over there and in the tree was her little rat terrier still with the leash on it, and the biggest great horned owl i've ever seen swooped down and took that sucker from her. She was yelling you have to get him, but it wasn't no use it was up there motionless. The owl took off out the tree with the dog, and too this day i still can't imagine why that owl caught that dog. |
