well i like trying new and interesting things, and as fun as it is shooting frogs, snakes and turtles out of my pond, sticking a gar or carp would be awesome.

Default Toledo Bend

Toledo bend is awesome for it....In the summer the water is really clear, and you can shoot very big carp, gou, gar, and the ocassional catfish. Its best to go on a still night so that you can see without the ripples.

probably anywhere with clear water. i don't live around there, but I'm sure you can find a lake or bayou with clear water. We go to all kinds of places up here and its hard to find a bayou without garfish lol

Be very careful entering areas in the marsh, most of the marsh is private and the reserve is closed after dark. I would try the Bend and small lakes in out area. What about the upper reaches of Sabine river or Calcasieu?

that would be a lot of gar because my truck is filthy between this past duck season and last weekend at the beach, I am a firm believer in a truck is for work not washing

Sounds great. the burnout bridge is one of the places i was lookin at to go. i live between sulphur and vinton so its not a long drive at all. As for the lights, i think a couple of Q beams would work fine. Ill hollar at you some time soon.
