Default power outages?

Anyone else see and hear the flurry of commercials today from the power companies, telling us to conserve, and turn your a/cs to 78 or above? They said that they may have to suspend power for short intervals in acadiana to preserve their internal infostructure. But, yeah, lets cut out some more oil production. pssshhhh. We are surrounded by idiots, and they are closing in on us.

how are the electric companies going to tell you what to put your a/c on! I'm guessing the water company is next and they'll tell me when i can shower!
