			I have caught them in Oyster Bayou in the deep holes. Just use your depth finder as you run along the bayou and fish the holes you see. I have caught them behindthe weirs and also in the ship channel.

			Yep, all the places mentioned are good for big drum. 
		
		
		
			Best baits IMO are cracked or whole crabs and cut bait [mullet is good]. I was out with a friend, and baited up a whole crab. As I threw out the bait, I told him if something takes this bait....it is going to be big. About 10 minutes later, he was fighting a 30 lb black drum. Here is one I caught in May on live bait. Second pic black drum was caught on soft plastic in Turners bay.  |
