Sounds like your charging system.....not the battery switch

Run it on the hose and see what the battery is reading.......should be around 14 volts I think

.....you reminded me of something else I forgot to add to my original post....I have a volt meter that is showing about 13.3v - 13.8v when I have the engine running.
....if it's the charging system do you know what that would entail me changing? thanks |

If it's reading anything over 12v it's charging. May just be a bad or dirty connection to the battery.

Did you connect the charger back up after you got home friday?
If not.....it sounds like you have a short somewhere that is draining you battery. |

I had a stereo in my boat and found out that the friggin' memory on the stereo was draining my battery. I canned that sucker.

Thanks for the advice everyone...i'm going to tear apart connections this week after work to make sure there is no corrosion or bad connections.
one other thing i forgot to add is there may not be a short draining the battery when I am not using it becasuse since I have noticed the issue happening I have been disconnecting ALL of my positive wires as soon as I get off the water from a trip....I also took the boat out today and payed close attention to my volt gauge and there were times when I was only running at 12.4v and the most I ever saw it today was at 13.8v at times. |

13.8 is good 12.4 is not unless the battery was completly drained.......i feel for you i don't wish electrical problems on no one.

Had the same issue a while back with mine. Installed a 2 battery on off on selector kill switch and haven't had a problem since.
