Default Little Florida 8/25

Met Meathauler this morning and made an attempt to slay some trouts. Finished with 21-22 trouts and 3 reds, nothing big 2# max.
Water clarity was not great but not terrible and the bite was somewhat slow. I caught in the trough between the rocks and Meathauler's fish came off the ends. Most fish were caught on Opening Night sand eels (MINE). The marsh fire is really kicking south west of the west cove rec area. We were directly south of the fire and it looked like a scene out of an apocoliptic movie. Might want to bring a respirator if you go Thurs-Friday. Saw Specktator on 10 coming home, that was me driving like hell to get home and into work clothes. Did not take a pic, was in a hurry.

We didn't know you were over there. We saw 7 others wading to the East of us.
One guy to the West. Gerald went and fished with him for a while.
We are going back tomorrow. Hopefully this weather will hold up a couple more
days.

I caught on topwater. I was chunking a Zara Puppy.
Spook Jr.'s didn't work yesterday or today.
It started early and stopped early. Switched to a
Bomber Jerk Minnow. That did the trick for me.
