Default v/b pounding

Spent the last few days at the pernt. It was windy, windy, windy from the time we got there early thursday morning till the time we left late this afternoon. We took a beating thurs. morning going and coming from the pass.Did I mention, it was WINDY? Fished the reefs on the backside of the island, We were rewarded with 1, 2lb. speck. for our efforts. The wind had the tides doing everything they were'nt supposed to be doing. Ended up parking the boat and just fishing with family and friends off of the pier in anticipation of calmer weather. Never happened, but we still had a great time and managed to catch shrimp, a bucket full of crabs, a few reds, about a dozen white trout,a load of croakers and 7 sharks.

water was beautiful on the outside of the pass, trout green over the reefs on thursday. Also very pretty with a good bit of salt in the cove too. We watched it get clear then dirty, then back to clear fri and sat. Amazing how fast it changes,it should be on once the wind lays down.
