Default Flounder Run 11-10-10

Hooked into some nice flatties while they were making their run, strong outgoing tide and fishing the edge of the ship channel. Caught a couple of birds on way back to the launch. Weather was windy but still beautiful to be out.

Also got to see the pink dolphin jumping and playing in the water, camera was too slow to get him in the air but still got proof that he still exists.

Also beware of large alligators waiting for you under your truck back at the launch. Gator in picture was resting under our truck back at the launch.

must be an old crab line that he swallowed. I tried to get close enough to see if I could cut it but he did not like me and the feeling was mutual. Figured some things just best left alone.

From the looks of his tail they must have a "Lockness Monster" around. Like on swamp people.

tried all sorts of baits.. gulps, plastic, eels, all worked good as long as we tipped the hook with shrimp or mullet. made a big difference verses not tipping it.

My wife and I hit the Flounder run several times last year.
We still have some in the freezer.
When they are biting, they hit anything.

Nice mess of brownies, Dude.
Where was your truck parked when the Gator crawled under it?
Looks like the Calcasieu Point cleaning station?
