Brew Venice 11/27/10

It's been a while since I've been fishing. This turnaround I'm on has been a weekend killer.

Made a run down to Venice despite the weather forecast. It was going to fish rain or shine!

After dinner and a few rounds of moonshine the night before, we got on the water at the crack of 9am. The wind had things stirred up and it was hard to find decent water. After bouncing around for half the day, we found a few big reds in some deep canals. We ended our day with 8 reds and 2 cats. We also saw LOTS of ducks & geese where we were fishing.

Can't wait for everything to start back up so that I can fish the weekends again.

We were surprised to not see the green water. The hard north wind may have had something to do with it. It looked like rip lines where the mud water met the clean water.

Most of the stuff I had came from Bellews Creek area, north of Winston Salem.

Understand the head through wall thing though because of the white, white "snow" and the shine, you couldn't feel ANYTHING!

None. We been having 10 to 12 ft. seas. It's hard to see anything in rough water.
