Someone on here was just asking me if the Flounder are still in the ship channel.
Guess this answers that question.

Default Report!

Can you tell where you caught these flounder? By the pogie plant? Were you wading?

I fished last Friday and the water in the channel was really dirty. Went to Turners and caught 25 trout with a friend.

What tide were you fishing!!

Thanks

Biggun

Default Founder

we Caught the Reds in Oyster bayou. The Flounder were caught in a few dif places along the ship cahnnel holding in 2ft to a few inches of water on mud flats. all fish were caught out of a boat ant the majority were caught by tallons (if thats how you spell it) across from monkey island. all fell for a pink gulp curly tail minnow tipped with shrip......we had to fish VERY hard for the bits we got. Im am just really getting to know the area and this was a treat!!!

Flounder don't mind dirty water. The fish in this report were caught down near the Pogie plant and the water was worse that chocolate color water. The flounder move out into the Gulf when the water gets colder, so the good catching may be slowing down some now.
