Another Moss Bluff Boy...
![]() ![]() I rather use a lighter rod for a fluke myself, you can use it for pitching jigs if its a heavy action |

It will probably work ok on a Texas rig but may be a bit stiff for a weightless worm/fluke

I always use a 6'6" MH for throwing flukes... but I'm a part time bass fisherman anyway

if my memory serves.. its a 7'0" mh 3/8-1oz. with fast taper? if that's the rod i'm thinkin of, it will work for what u mentioned.. the most trouble u will have, will b casting any real long distance with the weightless fluke. it'll still throw the fluke, just not really far. the thing u will probably really like this rod for (if u throw 'em) is senkos.. it's a perfect senko rod along with doing your regular carolina rigging, tx. rigging, flukes, rat-l-traps and more. this is one of the most versital length/action/taper rods on the market.. enjoy it!

all of my rods for bass fishing are 7ft MH fast tip, spinnerbait rods, worm rods top water, I use one 7'6 Heavy action rod for jigs, punching grass and fishing a frog in heavy cover. I don't use the heavy rod much, I fish mostly spinnerbaits and soft plastics.
