Made a scouting trip today to see If I could find some fish a little further South!! I invited good friends Chris Veneble and Rodney 'TROUTHOG' Bourque. Got a early start to make the 40 minute run in the dark. We started fishing right at day break and immediately started slinging in the fish one after another. The fish were stacked like sardines, feeding like piranhas and jumping out the water like tarpon (crazy stuff!!). Even though the wind was blowing a steady 20-25mph, we steadily filled up the cooler with nice solid fish up to 18 inch's. Lots of smaller fish mixed in as we caught a minimum of 150 fish to keep our 75 fish limit. Assorted plastics did all the damage and some were even caught throwing double rigged chubs two at a time. We also boxed 5 reds and a flounder and called it a day shortly after 12:00, leaving the fish biting almost every-cast. Thanks guys for the outstanding company as always. Really looking forward to the calmer winds which should be greeting us by the end of the week.
