BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) — LSU students were shocked to learn that an American flag at the Memorial Tower was torn down and burned last night. It happened not long after the announcement of Osama Bin Laden’s death.
LSU Police are working the case and say they have a lead in the investigation. They hope to have an update this afternoon.
Students and former SG Presidential candidate David Jones are holding a noon vigil as a “prayer for peace.” Our Kelsey Scram is tracking that story now. We will have that report for you tonight on NBC33 News at 5 p.

The cops are the experts on the current criminal trends. If they have determined that a “high capacity” semiautomatic pistol and a .223 semiautomatic rifle with 30-round magazines are the best firearms for them to use to protect people like me and my family, they are obviously the best things for us to use to protect ourselves and our families .

This is the kinds of stuff we shouldn't need cops for. If anyone sees someone burning a flag they should shoot on site. No questions asked.

The cops are getting paid to prevent this.

But the low life scum bag cops at lsu never do their job

Doubt it . Cause then you'ld know that we have fought for their right to burn our flag. Is it right ? HELL NO! It was theft for them to take it But they have the right to burn our flag. cops don't prevent crime! they react to it! If you think cops prevent crimes you probably don't think we need guns to defend ourselves. Blame the cops instead of the culprit, thats that LSU education for ya! got you liberalized!

I don't know about that ..... there are a ton of muslims on college campuses everywhere!! being they get their eduacation for free and all

I dont know bout that. If you ever been to the engineering department at Mcneese, the people in the masters program is about 95% middle eastern. They everywhere! Assuning its the same at LSU.

Right because I didnt say someone needs to get rid of those douche bags that did it.

Learn your **** before you come at me. Lsu pd has been under fire for not patrolling recently. They sit in their office and sleep.

Saw on the 10pm news last night the that the ROTC had taken up guard around the flag pole with another flag. And these boys weren't some little nerd ROTC guys either, they had some beef backing them up. At 6am this morning, they had releif! Glad to see we still have some people caring for old glory!
