Who Trolls for Trout

Who trolls for their trout? And if so what's your setup like? New to trolling and would like advice for a simple 3way spread. I have no trolling motor, so I think my best option is to troll for the trout.thanks in advance.

Rigging?

And can someone please explain to me fully on. How is it to keep from tangling? I understand keep the lures at different length s but what's with the quarter turn?

the only place I know people troll for trout successfully is Lake P and it will be unfishable for a while. They all use rattletraps there. 3/4oz Chrome w/blue or chrome w/ black. Probably go around 2-3mph. never done it but ive talked to some of the old timers on the lake before. Thats all I know

This the primary way I target specs, mainly fish prien lake. Baits to use: 1/4 oz lead head w/ any of the following: sparckle beatle, sand eall Jr, sunomies, power bait green back Shad, any swim bait or just about any plastic you use fishing traditional. Speed: 1.5 to 2.0 mph tatatic: hold one rod while u opperate the trolling motor. 2 rods out the back of the boat. Sit back and relax and catch. On lenth if line out, make a regular cast and then begin to troll. Good luck depth: 2.7 feet to 10 feet.

Thanks Paul. I mainly fish prien and this is really the only way I fish there all year long. Went today and caught around thirty, all small and under 12 inches. Ended up with two keepers and lost one 3-4 pounder at the boat. To be honest with you, the first time I heard of this tactic, I didn't think it would work, but the more I did the more sucess I had and I prefer it over traditional. Think about it, you cover way more ground with a fraction of the effort. I have been wanting to try it over the reefs in Big Lake but have not had a chance.
