Cheers Trout Fishing off the Charts 5-18-11

Had my good customer Tim Barras back on board today with his customers Bob Daigle, and David Crouch. We departed from The Reel in Fishing Lodge early this morning and had a great moon lit ride out to fishing grounds. Tim is on a roll as this makes three trips in two weeks with limits!! The trout bite is off the charts right now. Another fast and furious bite today as we had 75 trout on ice by 6:30am (60 on ice before we saw another boat). The bite came to somewhat of a halt as other boats started moving in and we had to pick at the last 25 till 8:15am. All the fish wanted early this morning was LSU and once the bite slowed all they wanted was the glow/Chart. Double rigged chubs as usual did all the damage. Big fish today was 21 inch's and weighed 3# 11oz, caught as a double with the second fish going 1.5 pounds (they pulled some drag!!!) 1050 trout from my boat alone has hit the table at The Reel in Fishing Lodge in the last two weeks. Good times had by all!!!! Thanks Tim for your continued business, looking forward to many more!!

Big thanks to Terry at Catchdat.com for setting me up with the new U.S. Reels and tackle to test out. Cant wait to try it out tomorrow!

Thats the best tandem rig their is imo. Cant tell you how many we have caught in GI and Cocodrie on tandem rigged glow/chartreuse and LSU with no cork. Nice Catch!

I had that exact setup on my poll during my first trip to Big Lake last year and on my first cast in Turners under some birds I caught 2 four lb. trout, I thought Big Lake was guna be wasy to fish only to catch 2 trout the rest of the day
