Eek unlawful entry

We were awakened at 2:00 this morning by sirens. My wife says, "Go see what's wrong." I go outside and there's emergency vehicles at the neighbor just down the street. So, as ordered, I walk down there. This chick ran her car into the people's living room. Not the entire car but the front cap was up in it. Nobody seemed to be seriously injured. Just found out that the culprit was a damn cell phone.

Driving while using a cell should be dealt with the same as driving while intoxicated. It's just as deadly!!!

Mine plugs into the car radio. The call is heard thru the speakers......it helps, but I still gotta look at it to dial.....

That Ford system that's voice activated will be the future, I haven't gotten to try it out, but am very interesteda in it

Talking while driving is, IMO, not nearly as dangerous as texting, but, stats say that even when talking on a cell while driving.....your attention span is equal to someone who is driving while intoxicated. Innocent people die every day on the highways because of cell phones. Maybe when it gets bad enough they'll do something about it.

You know it! I leave my bluetooth in all the time even in the shower. The only problem I have is breathing through the plastic bag I have to wear over my head.

Even as cell phones have become mor popular and texting has become an obsession, overall u.s. Traffic related deaths are down 20 percent over the past few years.

It'd be down more than that if it weren't for cell phones. I'll admit that mine comes in handy but it certainly is nowhere near an "obsession" for me, or, for that matter, a necessity. The best friend I ever had was killed in a highway accident caused by a damn cell phone. I wish the SOB never existed.

I have this feature. It too is not 100% safe though.

Nothing is "100% safe" when people's lives are in your hands. Since the auto manufacturers are so big on sensors, maybe they could include one that, if a cell signal is detected inside the vehicle, it will not allow the engine to start. Or, if it's running and it picks up the signal....the engine turns off. I know alot of people that would start riding bicycles.
