5/31/11 Late afternoon trip

Finally had time to take the boys out for a quick afternoon trip yesterday. Hadn't been able to get out in almost 3 months due to baseball going on. They had a blast picking up a load of croakers along with these other keepers. All fish caught on Gulp red belly shrimp and Gulp chartreuse swimming mullet. They had a blast and I enjoyed it just as much. And yes they kept the croakers to add to the pot. Fry up just as good as any IMO. Pic is not so good but had a nice size flatty.

Nice catch,great to get the kids on the water. I eat croakers too if they are big enough. Mix them with some trout fillets and nobody will tell the difference.

I was fishing one day and that was all I was catching was croakers, I must of cleaned 50 of em, they ate good! nice catch!

Croakers are great eating if you eat 'em fresh or don't freeze them for too long. We've already fried croakers along with trout and nobody could tell the difference between the two.
