Default Cameron - Launch & Live Shrimp

Is the boat launch on Davis Road the only launch near the jetties and where can I find live shrimp in the area?

Any specks at the jetties?

Thanks

Dugas landing is a little further south and has shrimp.

For launches, the ferry (if open) is closer.

Coming from Rayne, the launch at the fishing pier on Davis Rd is closest to you for the jetties. On the opposite side of the ship channel, they have one next to the ferry, but it is not very pretty. Also, with the current "abnormal" ferry operations ongoing, I'm not even sure it isn't blocked by the side ramp ferry working currently down there.

Ferry landing is closed for repairs.

Crab Man bait might have live shrimp. He is next to the old Monkey Island Ferry landing on the Cameron side.

The parish is supposed to totally rebuild the launch and parking lot.
Won't be anytime soon, if you know how the parish works.

Road passed the Cameron Jetty fishing pier this weekend.

The barge that hit the pier took a big hunk out of it......what 4 or 5 months ago. Maybe longer.

Does not look like the barge company has even started to make any repairs.

Yea that landing next to the ferry is kinda jacked up.
My boat is small but a bigger boat over 17' might have issues.
