how far out is grass line

going out in t morning from vermillion bay has any one been out there recently and seen grass line
also i have never launched in this area any suggestions on a good place to launch

This is My buddies idea he wants to go towards rockefeller I'm just trying to make sure we don't waste gas trying get to gulf I want to launch close

How far is fwc from lale charles

Looking on a map......if you go down to hwy 82 and then head east.....I est. about 100 miles from south Lake Charles

Depending on where you are coming from.....it might be better to take I-10 to Crowley and go south from there.
