Don't take this the wrong way but, if you're any sort of a welder, stay with it! By that, I mean, heli-arc/ stick hand. The turnaround work is fixin to fly! TWS and SWS will be Rollin soon and, both are doubletime companies.

![]() ![]() Kwak, stick with it. If ya don't mind travelin, there's a lot of money in industrial construction. If you really wanna wow a group that you go to work for, take your weld test and show up for work. They aren't gonna know you so, they aren't gonna turn ya loose on much of a weld. They'll have ya doin BS work. Just keep your mouth shut and go do it, without complaint to anyone. They notice that! That moves a lot of bosses in ways you don't know. Do your time and they'll start to pair you up with some guys that'll show ya what ya need to know. I waited for over 2 years to weld with a guy that I had always wanted to weld with! Keep in mind, I'd spent at least 6 yrs traveling the world as a welder, at that point. Good luck! |

We must have used 8+ different Alloy welders and then changed the job to cutting out a small section of the 8" pipe and rewelding it in. We must had called the xray crews out 12+ times on that one job. And don't ask what happen on the day they sent out a smoken hot chick to take the exrays and why they were told not to send her back. |

Just be confident and take your time. I been Weldin for 9 years now and I can proudly say I haven't had not 1 repair. Just get those X-rays under ur belt and then you won't fear nothing. Just believe in yourself dude. Practice makes perfect. I'm not sure if u went to school but they have night classes where u can practice.

And Corey nobody in the world thinks higher of themselves than a cry baby welder...
Just joking to all who weld...I usually shoot the same welders stuff for the most part and we like bread and butter...I will never cost a man his job if its something that he can fix and wont be noticed.... |
