Make sure you call them to order to make sure you get the correct gear ratio for your year and model. Have used them before on customers boats and so far so good. They come with a no fault 3 year warranty. |

He is a damn good mechanic,he buys the sei lower unit's too. If the forward and reverse gear is shot along with the seals it is cheaper to buy the sei vs. rebuilding.

Try Boats Unlimited in BR. If they do not have one ask them if they know of someone who does. This Lower unit may be hard to find at the local big boat dealers but I would call them and ask...they may know somone in the area "independent guy/repair person" that may have one.

I bought a used lower unit off ebay for $ 700 delivered to my house. This was for a 40 hp Force. Parts to completly rebuild would have cost over $ 800.
This engine [lower unit] had never been within 500 miles of salt water, looked almost new. |

No problem man....I have had good luck with them so far. Had trouble with one after the customer left the drain plug out. They still replaced it under warranty. You went back with a right hand or left hand?

I'm guessing RH. I didn't specify. I'm gonna have to switch back to my old prop, right?

I don't think they sell LH lower units. Yeah you will need to switch to your old prop.
