Open to suggestions.
Was looking at a Pelican Castaway 116 but horrible reviews...

Minee me, come get my pescador and skegit. Don't believe you'll b disappointed n da performance for $500 + $140 for paddle. C Drost has it n urange beotch and is sold.

That kayak is junk! Whatever you do, dont buy one. Save your money or buy a nice used one

My nephew works at Pack and Paddle in Lafayette.
When you know what you want, I can give him a call and see if he can find one for a good price, or a good used one. They find used ones pretty often.

Stay away from Pelican.

IMO, I would rather have a canoe. More places to put stuff, less chance of stuff falling over easier to stand in. Plus, an elevated seat and leg space. Sit flat on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you. How long is that comfortable?
