Just take your little red yak to the beach and catch some fish! It's going to be on!

I feel your pain Raymond, I loaded up my truck this morning and talked myself out of it. My freezer is full of trout, I cooked trout almondine and fried flounder yesterday, I have been catching plenty of fish in Prien so why drive to Johnson's Bayou to catch and release fish? Maybe I'll get motivated tomorrow when I read all the reports where people limited out on the beach this morning.

Today sucked. We hit Rutherfords Beach and Broussard's Beach. Water was light brown.
Ship channel was also at the jettys.
Raymond called a friend who said it was brown at the rocks between HB and JB also.

Water was flat calm, but still not clear.

I go, so I know... So does Raymond. He was right there with us. Now he knows my top secret spot on Broussard Beach.

Damn it was my buddies parents that went this morning. Said they caught 6-7 and the water didn't look bad. This was at Holly Beach though. I would have to think u could do pretty well tomorrow morning.

I went to Rutherfords Beach today also. I drove down there this morning and it was as you reported. Dead calm and stained. The porpoises were playing out about 15ft from the water line. Caught no fish at all. I was throwing soft plastics and top waters.

This trip was for exploration purposes mainly so I don't feel to bad. I think if I would have had some mullet I would have caught some fish!

Here's a report... It was nasty. Ripping current from east to west across the rock dikes made water dirty. Managed 11 reds, 10 trout, a flounder, and a tripletail. So for all who said it was "on," it was not. And, the wind turned from the SE down there. Water never got right, and pretty water was nowhere to be found.
