VAT?....you need a stump jumper when the lake is full...i don't understand why they don't clear them stumps out right now while it's as low as it is...i know if i lived in a cove....i'd have a chainsaw in hand in a jon boat clearing all the stubs out....probably going to go scout points islands etc for when the water gets high one day.lol. By the way.....all the bass congregated means better chance for me to put one on the wall. Can't seem to break the 5.5 mark. I'm way overdue!

funny you should ask.. i just talked to the chairman of the lake association today at work. we were discussing this very topic. i told him that people ask me almost every day why they weren't clearing stumps. he told me that there is currently a proposal to do just that, but it is being blocked by people who falsely believe that the sra can be held accountable for any injuries incurred by people who continue to run the boat lanes. furthermore, he said the sra believes that if they began cutting, people would believe it was safe to run, even though it is clearly stated that none of toledo bend is safe to run when lower than 164'. He told me to tell people to call the SRA and complain about the stumps and that we think they should be cut. it could actually yield results if enough people complain and the sra believes there is real interest in the proposal.
