Yes it is bad here in Texas, a friend of mine in Magnolia sent me a pic of the fire one block behind his house, he was grabbing everything he can out of his house, I tried to come help, but the police would not let me in. He will probably loose his house tonight to the fire. Prayers to all.

Man, this stuff is insane. My family is just south of Conroe. When the Tamina fire hit, it wasn't big, but my mother now has my brothers 5 horses in her back yard. Growing up in Montgomery County I can't imagine the Magnolia fire. Man my prayers are with you all. I just hope my knucklehead brothers have good enough sense to get out of the Austin/ San Marcos area if it gets worse.

I feel bad for you guys. I can't fathom what you are going through. If there's anything I can do, let me know. I can have me and my 6x10 trailer in route in about a 3 hour notice. I'm with Bluechip here, we'd make room for you if ya need it. Keep us posted.

There's a strong smoke smell and thin layer of smoke on the horizon here in sugar land this morning. Visibility is half of what it normally is from my office window. Accuweather isn't even predicting any clouds in the forecast.

I have been in a smoke cloud all week in my neighborhood in NW Harris County. At my daughter's school, the kids can't even go outside for recess because of the smoke. The smell of smoke is even present in the building where I work all the way in SW Houston.
