![]() My friend has some left over chain link fence pipe and connectors from building a big dog pen. We are going to use this for the sides and roof and put tin on the sides and roof. I have a few questions to ask Will this work if anchored properly ? Also want to know what type of screws to use on the floor. I want this to last a few years. It is going to be on cinder blocks. |

Deckmate screws if its wood on wood. I used some self tappin screws w/ the foam washers for putting tin on a metal fence post.

Just make sure that the fence pipe is strong enough for what you want. I know that the typical dog kennel pipe will bend and crimp pretty easily. If you are using treated wood, which I highly recommend, make sure you use the screws rated for treated wood. They cost more but with the chemicals they are using these days in treated lumber they are the only screws that will last.

the screws are what I was looking for. wasnt sure there was a difference between regular (cheap) screws and the ones for treated (expensive) The pipe is 2" 7' long. They will be anchored down properly also. |
