Default Reds on the fly in Delacroix

Specknation and I left the camp late this morning to miss the duck hunters. We managed to catch 9 on the fly, saw several more but thats how it goes.

Its made by shain's flys out of texas, its a downsized version of the phat rat on a 4 hook.

Specknation bought 50 of them about 4 years ago and he downsized the pattern for a slower sink.

the big one is the standard one that he makes but it sinks too fast in the shallow ponds. The little one is the one he made special and its sink rate is very slow.

I've read that some people soak thier flies n gulp juice or n bags with dead shrimp....
Ever done this?? What's Ur thoughts??
