Welcome to SaltyCajun.

There are maps available with marked fishing spots at Academy, ship to shore, etc. Advise to fish as much as possible, as a lot of us have, to learn locations and patterns for your best chance at catching fish.

The weirs are usually a very good spot (get a top spot map it has gps coordinates) for reds If you just want to catch some fish. Watch out for the crowds they can be brutal. There has been some good bird action lately just remember one flock per boat and you must have a trolling motor and always fish with the wind at you back or stern. Good luck.
