Default The "Pernt" Yesterday

Well we managed to catch a few before the wind and me having to leave them biting to go to school. The best part about it was that we did not fish within another boat all day ...other than one boat that decided to follow us while we were working the bank at one point. I love going fishing and finding fish outside the crowds. The key was being patient once boats cruised by and waiting for the bite to start again. Pretty nice trout in the mix...for us anyway. We must have threw back around 30 15-16inch Redfish as well, along with about 5 Big Black Drum (20-30lbs) and 1 30inch or so Redfish. All fish were caught inside the bay.

Would you advise on your bait selection?
I watched a guy catch specks in the cove Sunday on a chartreuse cocahoe with an orange tail. He caught 25 to my 1.

Good deal. I also like to venture away from the crowds to find new places to fish. Sounds like you layed your pole down when boats passed by. Been guilty of that myself

Well mainly gulp with a couple on dead shrimp. There was an older man that said to us at the dock he was using black cocahoe with yellow tail...hope that helps.
