Now that I have that big safe, I'm gonna make a pass through there today to put some more weight in it! It won't be long and that safe will be the cheapest part of this whole deal! Lol!

When I purchased my safe some 10 odd years ago, it weighed in at 800#. I began an endeavor of saving coins.(Quarters) primarily to add more weight. If someone would decide to take it, they would have to crash a rollback through my house to budge it. 3 guys can not even tip it over.

My de-humidifier (110 volt) crapped out and I've been using the silica packages just to get by but I saw on the Remington Firearm website they now carry a small self-contained dryer that is suppose to last 10 years. Any thoughts good or bad?

I've got some that sit in the safe. When it turns colors, you take it out and plug it in to dry it out. Once its dry, you just tissue it in the bottom again. I like it alot! You don't have yo run the wire though the wall of the safe.

Thanks Dink. I like the simplicity of the portable gadget.
