Default Lake martin

Armond16 and I hit the lake yesterday from 7-4. Fished very very hard, mostly pitching and flipping any thing possible. We had 6 bites with 4 fish in the boat all day....all 4 were small keepers. All caught on plastics super slow. All this being said it was a GREAT day to be on the lake and we both got some great flipping and pitching practice.

As soon as the cold fronts stop hitting on Fridays us weekend warriors should be able to own the area water ways :-)
Good Luck out there.

PS if anyone hits Indian creek this weekend let me know something good, making my first trip Sunday

Seems like we were a day late. A guy we talked to broke our heart by telling us he caught 4 pounders till sunset the day before on baby brush hogs green pumpkin :-/.

Trevor started out flipping a Sweet Beaver -Penetration (his favorite) with no luck. Made the change to Monster Strike?? in Okeechobie Color and started getting bit. This place has tons of pressure so a not so common creature bait was the trick.

Out of the 20 boats we talked to we had the most with 4. Very frustrating but enjoyable day. Thanks again trev.

Hahaha you gonna have to take off during the week if you wanna go. And I always wait till the last minute to go cause I am always watching the weather. Tough to figure out when to take off.

I will give my lake martin secret away.....4.5" black neon flipping tube weightless or 1/16 oz if windy smothered in garlic crawfish scent. Flip to the trees and let it sink. If they don't pick it up on the fall swim it back to the boat. Gets em everytime. I love fishing that lake flipping and pitching is my favorite way to catch em. In the summer you can hammer them punching grass mats with a 1 1/2 oz weight.
