Default Another Trolling motor post

I hope someone can help!

I have a 55# 12volt Ripe tide that I have had for 7+ years. I had to replace the "computer" board 2 or 3 years ago when the old board "fried".

The TM works fine, except when I run it on high (ie. 100 %). When on high, it will run for 40 or 50 seconds and then it stops. After say, 15 seconds it will start back running. If I just leave it set on 100 %....it will then run for say 5 seconds and shut down for another ~ 15 seconds.

If I cut back on the setting to ~ 60 % throtle..... it will keep running steady and not stop.

I am thinking there must be an "over load" sensor that is tripping the TM. I have not checked to see if I have a bad connection or wiring.

Can anyone till me what the problem is? Thanks.
