![]() One stop shopping this morning with 50 fat turbo trout in the box by 8:15AM. Charles Nelson and I headed out in the dark this morning for the debut of his brand new 22ft Blazer Bay. We christened the boat in by sliming it up with hungry trout. LSU chubs along with Cajun Pepper did the trick as those trout cannot resist the temptation of eating them up! We found 15-19 in. fish chasing shrimp all over the surface in a frenzy and it didn't take long. A fast & furious bite and it was all over as quickly as it started. The big hogs were jumping like tarpon when hooked and very aggressive. We had multiple fish following the hooked fish all the way to the surface by the boat. Charles never seen anything like it!! We actually left the fish biting. Only 1 minor glitz with Charles new boat as the power pole did not work properly. We thought we would never get it up out the water so we could run back in after the trip. I think it had a lot of air in the system or something but we eventually figured it out. Another great day on the DU! Pics will be posted when I get back home to my computer. Good luck fishing. Capt Bill Lake 985-851-6015 985-637-3712 |
