Default Maybe selling my outboard

I am thinking of selling my 25 HP 1999 Suzuki 3 cyl outboard w/ ss prop and battery. It is elect start. Boysen (ck sp) reeds.

Would anyone be interested in it? Think $2000 is a fair price from what I have seen on numerous other sites.

Feedback?

Oh, gonna buy a 40 hp Tohatsu 2 stroke direct fuel injection from Lake Area Marine to replace it.

You can't buy them anymore. It's supply and demand.

Like merc said, supply and demand. Duck hunters will shell out cash for the best of everything. It's a 25 horse motor from the factory that after about half a day at Cajunchristians house it will make over 50 hp. Legal to run in 25 horse limited wma

I would put it on Craigslist for 2200 or 2300. Suzukis aren't as rare as weedeaters Yamaha plus it's a stock motor.

I bought a new 20 hp Nissan last year for $3200, and Cabelas still has them listed at that price. I'm now running two Nissans on the back of a Alumacraft V16. I like the two smaller motors much more than one bigger motor. I do a lot of trolling in Colorado mountain reservoirs and the two motors give much finer control of low end speeds and also much better control of the boat at low speeds in windy conditions. I also like the idea that if one motor has trouble, the second motor will get us back to the boat ramp. Fuel economy is great too. In Louisiana, I often only have one motor running in the no wake and speed limited zones or in the marsh where I don't feel comfortable going over 20 mph. In open water, I can fire up the second motor and away we go.
