Anybody here play in a softball league?

Just curious. The Lake Charles league starts on Monday and I just been getting fired up. Last year was our first year as a team playing in the industrial league. We started off pretty rough last year, but we really started coming together as a team towards the end. This year we recruited some more talent and I think we will have a better chance of being a contender. Got done mowing the grass on wednesday and decided to go hit about 5 rounds at the batting cage. Ready to go get some rips!

I use to play a lot but I haven't played in a couple of years.

I've played for a few years now. I started out on one team and they decided I wasn't good enough, so I went to another team and we won the summer and fall league titles. We jumped up to another league and were very competitive.

It is a lot of fun, but the batting aspect is a lot different than baseball. I am getting pretty good at slapping the ball to right field.

Right! Batting isnt all about just sticking it, its about strategic ball placement (insert "thats what she said")

I play, mostly pickup games and pick up on teams that need a player or something. I do play in a winter league though. I try to kill the 3rd baseman mostly and I almost succeeded once.

I play! Used to play on the Toyota team in the industrial league...We switched leagues a couple of years ago and became the Shockers.
