Default Da Weirs

Freind was asking about the weirs. There was a thread about them and a phone # but can't seem to be able to find it. Thanks in advance for the help.

Call this number to get update on the Grand Bayou weir. This is a recording so it is available 24/7.

On Friday.... the message said that because the salinity in Big Lake is high they have closed access to the East Cove marsh to keep the "high salinity" water from going into the marsh.

When you got to the weir, was the gate closed?

I saw a report that said there was a big sign posted on the weir saying the marsh access was closed and there was a vertical pipe blocking the weir opening.

Yep it closed and you can see the pipes that the gate is attached to, the gate is under the water.

Does that mean there is no way to access the east side? Is there another launch to fish that marsh?
