Default 5-17 slow start

Well the trip started with 2 nice fish on top in Turner's but just too many boats. Dropped 4 good fish at the boat and lots of 11 inchers. By Noon still only had 2 in the boat due to all the small fish. From 12 to 1 finished the limit and was catching and releasing on topwater. Not how you start but how you finish. All in all not a bad solo trip.

Forgot to add that they were caught under popping shrimp so the bait of choice was any plastic that looked natural/clear. The clear sparkle beattle did the trick. On top it was the white skitter walk. Except those on tw the others were all caught on my tails special stickem rod. I love that rod.

Nice.

Think you passed me when you where headed in. I was by Texaco Cut.

I have NEVER seen that many boats in Turners, or on the lake, on a weekday.

Thumbs up

Nice report and glad to see you had a successful trip. I just wish I could have made the trip with you so you could show two limits. Hope to make the trip with you next time.

Yeah Top Dog there was a few fatties but a lot of small fish. I cleaned the fish at Cal Point and a guy who was fishing with live shrimp off the fishing pier there came with a five gallon bucket to clean the fish he caught. He took the lid off and I expected to see some big nasties. Well he did have one 5 pound drum and a couple of nice flounder but to my surprise he had two of the biggest trout I have seen in person. I have seen pics of big ones but both of these fish were over 7lbs and both were females full of eggs.
