Fished Cocodrie for the first time ever today. Buddy bought a camp there last week and the previous owner offered to show us around. Very nice of him and he was more then willing to help. Class Act for sure. I don't know many fisherman who would spend a Saturday in May showing some guys that he met two weeks ago spots to fish. Main thing we learned: Cocodrie is BIG and if you have no clue where you are headed you are in trouble!

Need to do more research on the area before we go alone.
We drove in from Lafayette and got on the water around 7. Met with our "guide" and were off. Fished Last Island and Timbelair Island. Did more riding and seeing spots then fishing. Water was great everywhere! We finished with 6 and our guide finished with 30. Apparently they didn't mind showing us the spots but they didn't share their secret weapon until 1 hour before we left. secret weapon: Alvacado and chartruse. We were throwing chicken on a chain which is a similar color pattern and the trout were not interested at all. Box shot at the marina attached.
The wind picked up around 10:30 and we had a rough and wet ride back to the marina at 1:30.
Hitting VB in the morning. Report to follow.
