Default Looking for a Teflon Rod

Im trying to find a Teflon rod/plug that is about 6 inches long and either 6'' or 8'' in diameter.. Any one know where I can find something like this? I have attached a picture. I know the one plug in the picture has grooves cut into it. I can have that cut at a machine shop.

May try some rubber & gasket companys such as Capitol Rubber or the Rubber House, both of these are in BR, Laf or L/Charles should have some industrial type vendors that would carry or get their hands on some. Teflon in that size is than more likely expensive!

C/D you are going to have to call some of the machine shops in Lafayette.
They should be able to order the teflon and turn it to your specs. Call Gene @ Innovative Machine 856-7169, he should be able to take care of you.

that is likely a synthetic plastic, and not teflon. There is lots of it used in any food manufacturer. They use it for everything. Check with your friends. It is easily machinable, non reactive, slick, etc. The guys that manufacture conveyors use a lot of it.
