I would say 6-8....remember your going to have side dishes,,French fries hush puppies, beans, potato salad, cold slaw or what ever floats your boat...I freeze my fish in gallon zip locks with water...about 12-14 fillets...

Dinner for my family of six is usually a quart of fillets, but my children do not hit the fish very hard and eat a lot of the side dishes. I would say that two quart bags would likely be plenty for most groups of six adults, and a gallon bag of fillets that is really full would most likely feed a dozen adults. A full gallon bag is over 8 lbs of fillets, and a full quart bag is a bit over 2 lbs of fillets. My wife usually figures 2-3 lbs of meat for the meat portion of any dinner menu for our family of six.
