If there going to allow commercial fishing(guides) behind the weirs why not commercial shrimping. While we at it lets lease out some duck blinds.

Both my grandfathers grew up in the depression. They wouldn't hear a thing about size and creel limits. If they caught or killed something, it was theirs. We're in the "Great Recession", these guys are just tryin to L.I.V.E.

that big "Refuge Closed" sign has been on there forever now. If those gates are open, and that sign is there like it always is, anyone know if you can go back there? I've seen people do it, but never knew if it was legal or not.

They are on video right next to the weir... You can see the front of the boat. That's another ticket

A couple months ago while fishing/crabbing at Grand bayou wier there were 2 guys fishing inside the signs. After they caught there limit of Reds they left. About an hour later they returned to "their" spot and caught another limit of Reds each.

I sure wish I had taken a picture of them to compare it to thoses 2 in that video.

I diffently would be interested in purchasing a commerical permit or whatever to shrimp and crab behind the weirs when it's open to the public. Can always use a little more gas money.

They may be trying to L.I.V.E. but they also broke the L.A.W. If I lost my job and started robbing banks to feed my family and L.I.V.E should I just be set free. Of course not
