Default On my butt for three days now

So, with pop in the hospital, I went in and gave, red blood cells, plasma, platlets.

Man, I have been sick as a dog ever since, cold sweats at night soaking through the sheets, achey like I have the flu, flying slarays like crazy.

Is this normal?? I give blood regularly and have never felt like this.

Well I just read up on it; and from what u say and what web md states as " effects " from giving blood , platelets or/and plasma ..... U may have the flu.
The only effects of giving blood were dizziness, nausea, bruising at the site of puncture & dehydration.
Interesting fact ; blood can be given every 56 days & plasma every 3 days.

Your symptoms are totally sounding like the flu.
Get some rest, get some fluids in ya & feel better!

If you ran a fever you should call the blood bank and report you illness, they need to pull the blood before possibly giving it to a surgery patient and getting them sick to the point of killing them. Weak or older patients may not be able to fight off the virus you carried in your blood. (2 cents worth)
