Me and Tightline went out yesterday to try out his new TW rod. Must be real sensitive. 2 consecutive casts

We struggled to catch some trout. Talked to several others that did catch well on mullets in eep water (channel)

Some is better then none right, that fish must have been really hungry, it is the same size of the lure.

I did manage to catch a couple of trout also on the new rod. I do want to say the Calcasieu Xtreme Rod that jchief built for me is as light if not lighter than my crucial rods that I have. I like the action and it was made to be a top water rod. It takes very little movement to get action to the bait, I have to say I was surprised how little movement I had to use. Then to top it off very senesitive as we can all see. I want to thank jchief for the rod and the excellent trip. I did talk to him about another build and if you haven't tried one you need to get your hands on a Calcasieu Xtreme Rod it is worth every penny and you have it made the way you want it.
